De Behangrol
"De Behangrol" was written as a nice little joke. For a children´s composition contest the composer took a roll of wallpaper, wrote gigantic stafflines on it and only wrote down a 3/4-bassline for tuba (the first 4 notes of J.Strauss´s "An der Schönen Blauen Donau").
The remaining stafflines were filled in by his young children (1 year old Maria & and 3 year old Mario) with paint, ink, and large felt-tip pen.
On the children´s new yearsconcert of 1994 "De Behangrol" (they changed the name) was performed by the "Nederlands Blazers Ensemble / NBE".
