Piano Stellar Overdrive (2022) is the second large-scale work for piano solo by Maarten Regtien and consists of 5 parts.

All five parts are intentionally set up in very strict dynamics, meter and rhythmic divisions, which leads to - especially in the faster parts 1,2 and 5 - a relentless and uncompromising work of music, which is very attractive to the composer. The uncompromising character of the music makes the performance of Piano Stellar Overdrive - as a side effect - a serious challenge for any pianist.
